WAYNETOWN, Ind. (CNS) – George W. Simpson, 84, of Waynetown, died at 9:35 a.m. Monday (Feb. 17, 1975) in Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. He was born April 29, 1890, the son of Allen and Anna Kellog Simpson. He married Bessie Babb, who died in 1928. He then married Nellie Holmes. He later married Zadda Darling, who died in 1957. Survivors include two sons, Julius C. of Waynetown and Ralph Allen of Cleveland, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Simpson was educated in Waynetown schools and was a retired mechanic. He resided in Waynetown all his life. He was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church, Odd Fellows Lodge 330, Rebekah Lodge 551 and Waynetown Masonic Lodge. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Thursday at the Thomas Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steven Malone officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends will be received after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Odd Fellows lodge services will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. – jlr

George W. Simpson,  84, of Waynetown died at 9:35 a.m. Monday in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. He had been ill two years. Born north of Waynetown, Mr. Simpson was a retired mechanic and a life resident of this area.  He was first married in 1928 to Bessie Babb who preceded him in death. His second marriage was to Nellie Holms and in 1957 he married Zadda Darling who also preceded him in death. Mr. Simpson was a member of Waynetown Baptist Church, IOOF Lodge 330, Rebekahs Lodge 551 and Waynetown Masonic Lodge. Surviving are two sons, Julius C. Simpson of Waynetown and Ralph Allen Simpson of Cleveland, Ohio.
